On my way back to SFO tomorrow, woohoo. Wallingford is a lovely little spot to spend a few days and I have found a few small treasures to purchase but I think I have done everything there is to do even though there was not much spare time around the meetings. Last ight we went to the Bangladeshi restaurant and it was wonderful, really nice combinations, with a chickpeas and spiNach side dish my favourite.
The weather has been really wonderful since we have been here, a bit cool in the morning then lovely and warm when the sun is a bit higher. It is amazing what people are wearing, bit I guess given that summer is such a small window the female locals grab the opportunity to wear short sleeves and short shorts as soon as the sun is out.
There were lots of people out on saturday afternoon doing things around the river which is the Thames, the same that flows through London but just more shallow and narrow here. Lost of boating things, a group of boys braving the water but just really standing and splashing, people picnicing and ishing or just sitting an people lunching at the riverside cafe, one couple sharing their table with their dog, who was either verywell trained or thought he was a person.
In my morning walks i had passed a quilt shop at the end of the town so this was my last stop yesterday and i had a lovely time in there chatting with the shop lady about sewing. I bought a pattern to share with noni and one small piece of fabric to make these very practical pincushions which were sitting around their sewing stations in the shop.
My nextblog will be from so city starbucks!
